“I was fed up being part of a healthcare system that didn't allow me to deliver the level of care every person deserves. If you've been on the receiving end of that system, you already know exactly what I mean.”

HOW THIS STARTED.

I was seeing 15 to 20 patients a day, 30 minutes each, handing people off to aides who were already covering 3 to 5 other patients at the same time. Insurance companies decided how long a person should be treated — not the professional who actually examined them.

But on the rare days I had the right amount of time with a patient, I was able to deliver the level of care they actually deserved. Those moments were the reason I became a physical therapist. I knew I could deliver a higher level of care — and this system was holding me back from doing that. So I built AdaptivMVMT.

  • No more being passed off to a tech or aide.
  • No more wondering if you're actually getting better.
  • No more settling for care that was never built around you.

I'VE BEEN ON YOUR SIDE OF THIS.

In 2013 I injured my ankle snowboarding. I thought it was a normal ankle sprain — I'd experienced them before playing basketball. Figured some rest and gradually getting back into the sport would be enough. It wasn't. Something was off and I kept experiencing pain in my ankle and foot that never fully went away.

Four years later an MRI revealed a cyst in my talus — a bone in the ankle — that had been causing the persistent pain. Conservative treatment was mentioned but surgery was pushed for. I didn't know enough at the time to advocate for the other option — so I was convinced surgery was the only option.

The PT after surgery was exactly what bad PT is: a heat pack straight to a stationary bike, with no real guidance, no explanation, and no progression.

I stopped going and switched clinics. The second place was better — but not enough to make a real difference. It wasn't until PT school that I finally understood what had actually happened — a high ankle sprain that never healed correctly, causing compensation patterns throughout my whole body that I wasn't even aware of. I started rebuilding my own mechanics and haven't stopped learning since.

I understand what you're going through because I've been through it as a patient. That's exactly why I treat people the way I do.

Sound familiar?

OUTSIDE THE CLINIC.

I grew up in South San Gabriel, so the San Gabriel Valley has always been home to me. I was a competitive swimmer and water polo player in high school, got into strength training in college, and never really stopped being active. These days I gravitate toward HIIT classes for the sense of community and train on my own to stay strong and keep up with the demands of life. I'm also a big foodie — if you're from around here, you know exactly what I mean. Food is one of the things that brings this community together.

WHY ADAPTIVMVMT.

The SGV is more active than ever. More people training, more athletes pushing hard. But the care hasn't kept up. Active people here deserve better than 15 minutes and a sheet of exercises.

That's why I built AdaptivMVMT. And I'm just getting started.

THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE APPROACH.

Over five years of clinical practice across two outpatient settings — seeing active adults, athletes, post-surgical cases, chronic pain, and overuse injuries. The volume of that environment sharpened my eye for movement and compensation patterns faster than anything else could have. But what I've learned from successes and failures in the clinic has shaped me just as much as any formal training. I'm constantly refining my clinical approach — not because I have to, but because my clients deserve someone who never stops learning.

That experience is what you walk into when you receive care here.
